Caretino Most Popular YJC Sire for 2005

Caretino (Caletto II - Isidor, by Metellus) is the most popular sire to date of nominees to the 2005 Young Jumper Championships. Caretino began his career by qualifying for the German Federal Championships and later became a Nations Cup horse under Bo Kristoffersen (Denmark) and Ludger Beerbaum (Germany). Some of his famous offspring include Ballerina 124, and the ill fated Caretano Z. At the 2003 Grand Prix of Aachen, Caretino was represented by three offspring: Caridor Z, Chandra and Camirez B.

The four 2005 YJC nominees by Caretino are all mares and include two full siblings: Nellatina and O Cerafina, out of Cella by Zuenftiger xx, owned by Plaid Ranch and Classic Lady (Hedera, by Corleone) and Ophelia 49 (Tovia, by Lord), both owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Firestone.

Indoctro (Capitol I - Vanessa VII) and Voltaire (Furioso II - Gogo Moeve) are runners up with three offspring nominated so far.

Rule Clarification: Young Jumpers and Grand Prix

Horses competing in Young Jumper Qualifying classes MAY also compete in Grand Prix offering $25,000 or more in prize money below the International Standard. A YJC horse that competes at the International Standard will no longer be eligible for participation in the Young Jumper Championship Series, including the Finals.
