Will of Iron, Hansel, Blue Danube Share Honors at IJF Eastern Regional
Blue Danube (Hamar - Pearl Peak, by Abdullah) earned the award for the Best Performance after posting two consistent clear rounds. Blue Danube is owned by Tatra Farms and was ridden by Patricia Garthwaite Towle. Stablemate Moet Walk (Obscur II - Descendress, by Tilt Up) earned a Reserve in the same category. Blue Danube represents the second offspring of Frank Chapot's Hamar to earn IJF honors in 2004. Trueman's Affair swept the 2004 Midwest IJF Regional. Blue Danube's dam, Pearl Peak, was also an IJF graduate herself, and her sire, Abdullah needs no introduction as the former Olympic Silver Medalist from the Los Angeles Olympics. The award for Best Type went to Hansel (Consul - Grande Karma, by Grande Saber) owned by Bobby Cox and ridden by Hillary Schreiber. Hansel's sire, Consul, is owned by Iron Spring Farm and is the sire of another IJF graduate, international show jumper Judgement who is also an IJF nominated stallion. More>>> |
