YOUNG JUMPER CHAMPIONSHIPS SPECIAL SECTIONS NATIONAL HORSE SHOW WELLINGTON |
International Jumper Futurity Stallion Nominations STALLION NOMINATIONS Stallion owners or their agents must nominate stallions on an annual basis in order to make the foals conceived that year eligible to be nominated to compete in IJF events. The yearly nomination fee for each stallion is equal to his established stud fee for that year (see fee schedule below). Stallion nominations are due by February 28, 2005. Click here to view the Current List of Nominated Stallions in 2004. Click here for a Table of Nominated Stallions from previous years. Click here for a 2005 Stallion Nomination form. (PDF file). For stallions not previously nominate to the International Jumper Futurity, special stallion nomination options are available to 'back nominate' and make offspring conceived from 1996 to 2004 eligible for nomination to the IJF programs. (See fee schedule below). Stallions who do not stand for an advertised fee shall be eligible for nomination by payment of an annual fee euql to the fair market value afforded to the general public. The fair market value shall be determined by a Stallion Fee Review Committee and the stallion owner. In cases where a stallion stands for more than one advertised fee, the highest of the stablished fees for the year must be paid. The only exception will be in the case of a Thoroughbred stallion that has a separate, lower stud fee for horses not to be raced. STALLION NOMINATION DEADLINES Completed stallion nomination forms accompanied by proof of stud fee and the full nomination payment must be received in the IJF office no later than February 28, to assure inclusion in the IJF advertising. Nominations received after February 28 are considered late nominations and must be accompanied by a $100 late fee in addition to nomination fees. RE-NOMINATIONS Stallions previously nominated must be re-nominated for the 2005 breeding season in order to establish eligibility for all foals conceived in 2005. The nomination fee is an amount equal to the established / advertised 2005 stud fee. NEW NOMINATIONS Several different stallion nomination options are available for those stallions not previously nominated to establish the eligibility of their offspring. Please refer to the 2005 Fee Schedule below to determine which option best fits your needs. CHARTER STALLION NOMINATIONS IJF Charter Stallion status may be awarded upon the one-time payment of an additional $1,000. IJF Charter Stallions will be entitled to a one-time $400 credit toward Young Horse Nominations, and a freeze on the stallion's annual nomination fee at the current year's level.
